Flat-plate viscometer, also known as spreader, TR 1158 meets the GB/T 14623.3 standard design. This is an instrument based on the principle of ink flow between two parallel plates, which can quickly and accurately measure the flow of ink between two parallel plates under low shear stress.
Order Information:
TR 1158-- Parallel-plate Viscometer
The structural principle of this instrument is shown in the figure:
A certain amount of ink is placed on the plate, and after removing D, the transparent (glass or plastic) upper plate A falls down the C rod and presses against the ink. The ink droplets begin to spread outward after being pressed, and the diameter of the ink spread is determined at different times until the maximum diameter is reached.
Four parameters of ink, namely viscosity, yield value, intercept, and slope, can be measured using a parallel plate viscometer.
