The TR 5310 Falling Sand Abrasion Tester produced by TRUIT is designed in accordance with GB/T 23988 and ASTM D968 standards. It is mainly suitable for the determination of the wear resistance of fluorocarbon paint film coated on the substrate of aluminum alloy building profiles, and the instrument can also use the shakeout method to determine the wear resistance of the coating of pigment paint, varnish, spray paint and related products.

TR 5310 – Falling Sand Abrasion Tester
·Instrument dimensions: 450mmx500mmx1370mm
·Funnel angle: 60°C
·Inner diameter of catheter: Ф19mm; Catheter length: 914mm
·Specimen holder angle: 45°C
1.Test environment
·The test should be carried out at room temperature and under the environmental conditions of relative humidity not more than 80%.
·Attention should be paid to wind shelter during the test
2.Main structure and working principle
·Mainly consists of rack parts (10); hopper parts (8); catheter components (6); Specimen holder parts (4) and other components (see structural diagram)
·The working principle of the instrument is that the standard sand falls freely through the conduit from the specified height to wash the paint film on the surface of the specimen, and grinds until the base material of the test plate with a diameter of 4mm is exposed. The volume (L) of the abrasive material used to wear the paint layer per unit thickness is used to determine the wear resistance of the fluorocarbon paint film applied to the aluminum alloy building profile, as well as the coatings of the base coat, varnish, spray paint and related products
