Hardness test

TR 5160 Barcol Hardness Tester

TR 5160 Barcol Hardness Tester

This instrument is an indentation hardness tester. The test is fast, easy, and can be pressed to quickly test the hardness of aluminum and aluminum alloy materials, in accordance with the American standard ASTM B648. It is mainly used to test the hardness of aluminum and aluminum alloys, and can also test the hardness of other soft metals and FRP products. It can test all kinds of oversized, ultra-wide and ultra-thick workpieces and assemblies, and test plates, strips, profiles, forgings, castings, etc.

The W-20 hardness tester is widely used in the aluminum processing industry and is suitable for most aluminum alloys. For 2024, 7075 and other grades of superduralumin alloy, W-B75 Wechsler hardness tester can be used, and Barcol hardness tester can also be used. A Barcol hardness tester should be used for pure aluminum, low-hardness aluminium alloys, particularly thick aluminium alloys, and other aluminum alloy workpieces that are inconvenient to use a Wechsler hardness tester.

Barcol hardness testers are generally used as a supplement to Wechsler hardness testers when testing pure aluminum, low-hardness aluminum alloys, and oversized, extra-thick materials.
